Hokusai Documentation
Hokusai is a protocol for shared AI decision layers. The first decision layer is the Technical Task Router: a routing model that helps coding harnesses choose the planner, coder, reviewer, and workflow most likely to complete a submitted engineering task.
The router does not replace your harness. Wavemill, Claude Code, OpenHands, custom agents, and internal coding systems still execute tasks, manage tools, run tests, and own the user experience. Hokusai provides the routing decision and learns from the outcome data you report back.

Protocol and Rewards
Routing decisions generate usage fees. Outcome data can improve future routing quality. Contributors who create measurable routing improvements can receive rewards tied to verified performance lift.
